Charlie Patino started the game against Huddersfield Town on the bench. However 18′ minutes on the pitch was enough for him to score a last minute equaliser for Swansea City to help them rescue a point this afternoon.

Swansea City looked like they were heading for defeat before Charlie Patino popped up in the 94th minute to win the ball back and put it past the Huddersfield keeper from outside the area.

The Arsenal loanee changed the game for the Swans late on in the second-half. He had 34 touches of the ball, completed 22 passes, made four key passes, won all of his ground duels and scored in the 18 minutes he was on the pitch.

The 20-year-old midfielder received an 8.2 match rating which was the highest of all the players on the pitch.

The goal scored this afternoon was Charlie Patino’s second goal of the season, after also scoring against Sheffield Wednesday earlier this season. The Arsenal loanee also has provided four assists in the Championship.

Patino has six goal contributions in eight starts for Swansea City this season. Hopefully his goal today will warrant him more starts in the near future ahead of a busy festive period. Swansea City’s next game comes against Rotherham next Saturday.
