West Ham are showing an interest in Arsenal striker, Eddie Nketiah this summer.

Arsenal are currently in advanced negotiations with West Ham over a deal for club captain Declan Rice. It’s been well reported the Hammers are looking for a fee of around £100m for the club to sell their star man this summer. However West Ham are willing to lower the fee if a player can go the other way in an exchange deal.

Despite two rejected bids and Manchester City entering the race, Arsenal remain confident they will get a deal wrapped up for their number one target very soon. Edu and his team are preparing a third bid to West Ham for their club captain which is expected to reach a total package of £100million.

However Arsenal are also discussing the possibility of adding Eddie Nketiah into a possible deal which could see the fee for Declan Rice be reduced to around £75million. The Gunners are ready to listen to offers for the England striker this summer with the arrival of Kai Havertz set to be announced next week.

West Ham aren’t the only club looking at Eddie Nketiah this summer with Crystal Palace and Brentford also monitoring his situation at Arsenal.

With Gabriel Jesus the main striker at Arsenal and Kai Havertz arrival imminent, Eddie Nketiah’s game time could be reduced even further next season and the 23-year-old feels he’s ready for a new challenge in order to gain more regular game time next season. Folarin Balogun is also set to return to North London after his outstanding loan spell in France last season which is set to add even more competition for the number nine spot ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

There’s no doubt Arsenal are set to have one of their busiest transfer windows in the club’s history this summer with the deal for Declan Rice set to be the biggest of the entire window, if they can get it over the line.
