West Ham legend, Nigel Reo-Coker predicts who Declan Rice will be playing for come the end of the summer transfer window amidst all of the speculation.
Declan Rice is one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer window right now and arguably the Premier League’s biggest target. With West Ham already confirming his departure, the most prominent clubs around Europe are looking for his signature this summer, including Arsenal.
Arsenal have had an initial bid of £80million rejected by the Hammers with a second bid submitted in the region of £100million which the Gunners hope will be enough to get the deal done. If Arsenal can agree a fee with West Ham for their club captain then he will become Arsenal’s most expensive transfer of all time, surpassing Nicolas Pepe’s fee of £72million.
However Arsenal aren’t the only team interested in signing Declan Rice this summer with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring the situation.

Erik Ten Hag and Pep Guardiola look to also bolster in the midfield area to make another run towards the title. Chelsea released Rice when he was 15 but now are interested in retaining his services again.
When speaking on The Football Daily Podcast, Nigel Reo-Coker had his say on Declan Rice: “Personally I think he wants to go to Arsenal, but I think West Ham won’t make it easy for him.
“There is real interest from Manchester City too with the situation with [Ilkay] Gundogan and [Bernardo] Silva. I do personally believe there is strong interest from there, but I could see him going to Man City if I’m honest. That’s just my personal opinion.”
With Declan wanting to go to Arsenal, the Gunners are in the driver’s seat. However, the Premier League Champions could look to make a move if Arsenal don’t get the deal wrapped up soon. The Gunners hope their second offer will be enough to get West Ham to sell their club captain this summer.
