Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has ruled out any possibility regarding his future when it comes to one team, Tottenham Hotspur. The answer is simply “No”.

The Polish international, 32 years of age, had been linked to a move to Spurs as they try to replace their current long serving shot stopper Hugo Lloris. According to the Daily Mail, Szczesny is one of the players Tottenham have eyes on as Lloris has made a significant number of errors which have directly led to goals throughout his time at the club.

However, with Szczesny only having a year left on his contract at Juventus, which expires in 2024, a move away is looking more and more likely. But after five years on the red side of North London his loyalty for Arsenal remains and his dislike towards Tottenham has been demonstrated on multiple occasions, even after departing from the club.

In particular, after Tottenham suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of already relegated Newcastle on the last day of the 2015/2016 season, Wojciech Szczesny tweeted a simple but clear message. “Spurs” followed by a laughing emoji and a red heart emoji.

Similarly, after knocking Tottenham Hotspur out of the Champions League with Juventus in 2018 and celebrating on the pitch, Szczesny went on to tweet ‘Great win and celebrations versus one of the best teams in North London. FORZA JUVE! North London is red.’

It is fair to say Wojciech Szczesny doesn’t like Tottenham, and Tottenham doesn’t like him. For as long as this remains the case, he will be adored by the Arsenal fans.
