French giants, PSG are interested in signing Arsenal centre-back Gabriel this summer, although it appears the player isn’t available at any cost.
Gabriel was the only outfield player to start every Premier League game for Arsenal throughout the 2022/23 campaign. The Brazilian only missed nine Premier League minutes all season – that’s how important he is to Mikel Arteta’s team and that’s why he’s deemed ‘untouchable’ ahead of next season.

According to Goal Brazil, The French champions reportedly want to add the Brazilian to their ranks this summer, after Sergio Ramos is set to leave the club. However it appears Mikel Arteta will not let Gabriel leave, at any price , this summer with the centre-back a vital part of his future plans.
Fabrizio Romano has previously said that Arsenal consider the 25-year-old to be an ‘untouchable’ player with the Gunners stance being that they won’t sell the Brazilian no matter what this summer.

There was a few doubts surrounding Gabriel a year ago with the centre-back making a few mistakes and there were times he was too rash in his decision making. There were questions marks over whether the Brazilian would be in Mikel Arteta’s long-term plans. However after the season Gabriel has had, creating a brilliant partnership with fellow centre-back Willian Saliba, there’s now no chance the 25-year-old leaves Arsenal this summer.
Gabriel has come on leaps and bounds this season. He’s shown he’s one of the leaders in the young Arsenal dressing room, while also bringing a calmness to his game which wasn’t present before the 2022/23 season. The same goes for William Saliba who Arsenal are desperate to tie down to a new long-term contract with the Gunners confident they will get the deal over the line soon.
Arsenal are building an incredible core of young players for the future, and it’s unlikely that the Gunners will want to sell any of their star players before they all hit their peaks together. With Champions League football back at the Emirates Stadium next season and another title challenge being prepared for this summer, Arsenal are looking to improve the squad, not tear it down.
It’s also worth mentioning Gabriel is very happy in London and at Arsenal, having just married his partner as well as having the best season of his career so far. All parties want the story to continue with the Brazilian at the heart of the Arsenal defence for years to come.
