The triumphant return of Ipswich Town to the Premier League after nearly 24 years has ignited ambitions for a strong debut in the top flight, with manager Kieran McKenna already setting sights on bolstering his squad through the transfer market.

Under McKenna’s guidance, the Tractor Boys have clinched back-to-back promotions, and now the club are poised to support their manager’s vision with strategic acquisitions aimed at cementing their Premier League status.

Among Ipswich’s ambitious targets is Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to reports from TEAMtalk. The Gunners, open to selling the 24-year-old for the right price, have granted Nketiah permission to seek opportunities elsewhere, with game time being a crucial factor in his decision-making process.

While Nketiah maintains a strong rapport with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, the prospect of securing regular minutes appears uncertain, especially with Arteta eyeing new attacking options in the summer transfer window.

Amidst stiff competition from several Premier League clubs monitoring Nketiah’s situation, Ipswich Town have emerged as a serious contender for his signature, signalling their intent to compete at the highest level. This move reflects Ipswich’s determination to make a significant impact in the Premier League and underlines their proactive approach to strengthening the squad.

Crystal Palace, long-time admirers of Nketiah, are also in the fray, leveraging their proximity to London and recent upturn in form under new manager Oliver Glasner to attract the forward’s interest.

While Nketiah harbours ambitions of establishing himself at Arsenal and claiming the number nine position, his limited opportunities within the first team suggest a potential departure from the Emirates Stadium. Despite showcasing promise with sporadic appearances, Nketiah’s future may lie elsewhere as he seeks more consistent playing time to fulfil his potential.

Since joining Arsenal from the Chelsea academy in 2015, Nketiah has made strides in his career, but with only 10 Premier League starts this season and intermittent cameo roles off the bench, the striker is contemplating his next move in pursuit of regular action and development.
