According to reports, Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for former first-team regular Kieran Tierney, with Newcastle already in line to make an offer for the Scottish left-back.
The 25-year old Scotsman has featured in 17 games this season, mostly coming off the bench, with Oleksandr Zinchenko cementing his place as the first-choice left back in Mikel Arteta’s side. It has been reported Kieran Tierney is open to leaving North London, with many Premier League clubs already interested in signing the 25-year old.
Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League table & new signing, Oleksandr Zinchenko is a big reason for that. The Ukrainian has not only transformed the way Arsenal play but he’s brought the winning mentality from Manchester City which is needed in order to be the best.
Unfortunately for Kieran Tierney, that has meant he has lost his place in the side with the 25-year-old only starting four Premier League games this season.

The team that is showing the most desire for Tierney is Newcastle United, with them trying to sign him as their first-choice left back, replacing Dan Burn. It seems like Arsenal won’t listen to offers below £30 million for Tierney, as they value him as a fantastic back-up option for left-back, if the player is happy with that kind of role.
No decision has been made on Kieran Tierney’s future yet, with the club set to sit down with him at the end of the season to discuss his role and what he’d like to do come the summer transfer window.
Tierney has stated before that he is hurt by his lack of game time this season and that he could be tempted for a move away from the Emirates if the lack of minutes continue.
Newcastle’s priority for the summer transfer window is a left-back, and there is no doubt that if they manage to sign Kieran Tierney he would be a big signing for The Magpies, who are currently fighting for a top four finish in the Premier League.
Although, I think that no Arsenal fan would like to see Tierney leave, it could be the best thing for both sides, as a player of his quality deserves to be playing week in, week out and Arsenal could use the funds to improve other areas of the squad, since it is looking likely that The Gunners will be playing in the Champions League next season for the first time since 16/17 season.
What are your thoughts on this? Does Tierney still have a place in the Arsenal team?
