It is less than two months before the winter transfer window is officially opened, but rumours are swirling the mill with clubs linked with potential targets. One of such rumour is Juventus’ interest in Arsenal on loan midfielder Charlie Patino who is on loan at Swansea in the English Championship.

Patino came through the Arsenal Hale End Academy and has been knocking on the door for first team appearances. Arsenal considered the 20-year-old as a big talent who will be part of the club in the future and have sent him on loan to the lower divisions to continue his development.

Having spent the previous season on loan at Blackpool in League One, Patino has continued to impress at Swansea, tallying one goal and four assists in 12 Championship appearances this season. The versatile England U21 international is adept at playing in both defensive-midfield and box-to-box roles, emphasizing his ability to create chances and contribute to the attack.

Juventus, currently struggling with the absence of key players such as Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli, are actively seeking reinforcements in the midfield. With Patino’s stellar performances catching their eye, Juventus are considering him as a potential addition to their squad either in the upcoming January transfer window or at the end of the season.

Arsenal recognizes Patino’s potential for the first team, and Mikel Arteta is reportedly willing to give Patino a chance to stake a claim in the midfield next season when he returns from his spell with Swansea at the end of the season.

Market intermediary Michele Fratini has singled out Patino as a viable option for Juventus, emphasizing the need for a playmaker to enhance the team’s quality and game-building capabilities.

Fratini to Tuttojuve: “A playmaker is needed because Juventus do not have the quality and someone who builds the game. It could be Charlie Patino of Arsenal, because he has great quality. There are many great teams on him.”
