Many Arsenal players have been linked with moves away from the club so far in January, with the latest being Emile Smith Rowe. The 23-year-old was subject to interest from West Ham, with David Moyes wanting to take the midfielder on loan until the end of the season.

Them reports have been shot down quickly, with Arsenal having no interest in letting the player leave this month. According to reports, there is ‘zero chance’ of Emile Smith Rowe leaving North London on loan, with the player determined to fight for his place back in the starting eleven for the remainder of the season.

Emile Smith Rowe has never changed his stance, despite the reports linking him with a move away from his boyhood club. Earlier this season the midfielder was quoted saying: “I won’t give up until Arsenal say they don’t want me.”

Arsenal have to sell before they buy this month in order to stay in line with FFP, however as it stands Emile Smith Rowe certainly won’t be one of the players leaving the Emirates Stadium in January.

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has backed that up as he reported today that unless ‘something miraculous’ happens, then there is no way Arsenal will be allowing Smith Rowe to leave right now.

Chelsea previously approached Arsenal late in the summer transfer window regarding a move for Emile Smith Rowe. They’re approach was also rejected by the Gunners and it appears the club’s stance on the player hasn’t changed – Smith Rowe is not for sale.

It may surprise a few with the lack of chances the midfielder has had under Mikel Arteta so far this season. The 23-year-old has been unlucky with injuries, however even so, he’s only started one game in the Premier League which came against Sheffield United back in October.

With Emile Smith Rowe now down to stay at the club and Mikel Arteta still a big fan of the player, he’ll be hoping there’s a lot more chances coming his way from now until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
