Mikel Arteta revealed Arsenal are ‘very active’ and are looking at options for potential signings in the January transfer window.

Arsenal lost Gabriel Jesus to injury while he was away with Brazil at the World Cup and are now light of options in attack with their star man having undergone knee surgery.  The club are exploring their options to cover for the striker. Here are four attackers they should look to sign in January.

Mykhaylo Mudryk: Mudryk has become a priority target and has caught the eye of many clubs with his impressive outings this season, scoring 10 goals and chalked up a further eight assists. Mudryk will provide goals and some valuable depth in the final third, primarily on the left flank. Shakhtar Donetsk have reportedly slapped a price tag of around £80m for their starlet, but the value could be significantly lower should a deal be agreed.

Ferran Torres:  Arsenal are believed to be admirers of the attacker and could approach Barcelona with a bid in 2023. Torres ended his spell at Manchester City to sign for the Spanish Giants last January, but he has quickly fallen down the pecking order after their recent attacking acquisitions. Torres has managed 12 goals and seven assists from 44 games this calendar year, and he scored two goals in four World Cup matches for Spain.

Dusan Vlahovic:  The Gunners are back in the running to sign Vlahovic. He only moved to Juventus almost 12 months ago but is said to be willing to leave the club very soon due to their own financial issues which may force their hands into selling one of Europe’s most clinical strikers. Since moving to Juventus, Vlahovic has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances and recently represented Serbia at the World Cup.

Wilfried Zaha:  The winger has long been linked with a move to Arsenal. Zaha has proven through the last five seasons that he is one of the most feared players in the Premier League and has helped Crystal Palace to become an established top-flight side. Zaha would have an immediate impact on the team with his experience, goals, dribbling ability, and he could be available for a cut-price fee as his contract expires in the summer.
