Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on potential outgoings for Arsenal this month. It’s no secret the Gunners need to sell before they buy in January in order to stay in line with FFP, after the club spent over £200million on four new signings in the summer.

Despite the lack of financial flexibility, Mikel Arteta remains determined to do something this month to try and give his side a boost ahead of the second half of the season still to come.

Away from the transfer market, Arsenal have received really positive news on Jurrien Timber with the defender now expected to return to full first-team training next month. The player is set to play a major role for the Gunners in the second half of the season which in itself will feel like a new signing.

However back on with transfers and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Cedric Soares could be one of a few players who head out the door at Arsenal this month. Clubs from Turkey is showing real interest in the Portuguese international in January but Romano claims ‘nothing is imminent’ when it comes to outgoings just yet.

However has also suggested that we could see some movement on that front as early as ‘this week’.

Fabrizio Romano on Arsenal outgoings: “In terms of other players who could leave Arsenal, I’d keep it open for Cedric Soares and more players. Nothing is imminent at this stage but this week some movement could take place for the outgoings, let’s see.”

Cedric is yet to play a single minute in the Premier League this term after returning from a loan spell at Fulham over the summer. Ben White, Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all considered ahead of him in the pecking order at right-back.

Edu is actively looking to sell Cedric this month with the club looking to save £100,000-a-week on his wages. His sale could allow Arsenal to make a signing in the final week of the transfer window.
