Arsenal are currently linked with several players as Mikel Arteta seeks to bolster the squad ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners’ resurgence among the top teams in Europe has elevated their appeal, making the Emirates Stadium an attractive destination for high-quality players.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed light on Arsenal’s quest to bolster their squad with reinforcements, particularly focusing on Premier League star, Pedro Neto.

Romano reveals that Arsenal has cast a wide net in the transfer market, scouting several wingers for a potential summer move. However, it appears that Pedro Neto has emerged as a prime target for the Gunners.

The negotiation process is currently on hold as Arsenal, along with other interested parties like Tottenham Hotspur, await Wolves to disclose their asking price for Neto. Once this crucial detail is revealed, a transfer battle could ensue among the suitors.

In assessing Neto’s suitability for Arsenal, Romano acknowledges the winger’s impressive contribution to Wolves, with two goals and nine assists in 19 league appearances. Despite concerns surrounding his recurring injuries, many believe Neto possesses the talent deserving of a move to a top club like Arsenal.

Romano said on CaughtOffside: “Arsenal have some wingers in their sights for the summer, but while it’s normal to see a long list of names linked with clubs in this situation, who’s really emerging as the main options on Arsenal’s list?

“Pedro Neto is a player Arsenal like and have looked at before, but we have to wait for Wolves to decide initial price tag to understand what Arsenal, Tottenham and more clubs will decide to do.”

The potential acquisition of Neto, or any other winger, could serve as valuable backup for Bukayo Saka, who has been a standout performer on Arsenal’s right flank.

Saka’s exceptional form has made him a vital asset for the Gunners, but it has also raised concerns about his workload and long-term durability. Consequently, Mikel Arteta may prioritize securing a quality winger to provide support and alleviate the pressure on his star player.
