As the Premier League season draws to a close, Arsenal fans await news not only on the final standings but also on potential transfer dealings in the upcoming summer window. Amidst this anticipation, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has shed light on the future of one Arsenal player, Reiss Nelson.

The Gunners find themselves hoping for a miraculous turn of events on the league’s final day after Tottenham Hotspur’s embarrassing 2-0 defeat to Manchester City. While City remain the favourite for the title, the unpredictability of football leaves room for surprises, especially as they face West Ham in their last fixture.

Regardless of the league outcome, Arsenal are ready for activity in the transfer market, both in terms of arrivals and departures. At the centre of speculation is Reiss Nelson, a product of Arsenal’s academy since the age of eight, whose journey through the ranks has been closely watched by fans.

Despite Nelson’s promising talent, his rise to a regular first-team role has been hindered, with limited appearances totaling less than 650 minutes this season. Although Mikel Arteta persuaded him to extend his stay at Arsenal with a new contract in 2023, Romano suggests a potential departure looms.

According to Romano’s recent update, neither Arsenal nor Nelson are actively seeking a separation. However, both parties would seriously consider any compelling offers that may arise during the summer transfer window, hinting at the possibility of a departure.

Romano stated in his Daily Briefing, “Another name to watch at Arsenal is Reiss Nelson. It’s a possibility that he could be leaving the club… They’re not desperate to part ways, only in case there’s a good proposal in the summer transfer window.”

At 24 years old, Nelson’s talent is undeniable, characterised by electrifying pace and proficient dribbling skills, making him an attractive prospect for potential suitors. Among them, Crystal Palace emerge as a contender, reportedly keen on acquiring the winger’s services.

New manager Oliver Glasner evolved Palace into a formidable side, showcasing an exciting brand of football. Should Palace pursue Nelson, his addition to their squad would seamlessly complement their style of play, potentially offering Nelson a fresh start at Selhurst Park.
