Mikel Arteta is desperate to add another winger to his Arsenal squad this summer. The Gunners are set for another extremely busy transfer window ahead of next season, with the club looking to improve in four key positions.

According to recent reports, Arsenal are in the market for a winger, central midfielder, striker and a versatile defender ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. Mikel Arteta’s side have fought for the Premier League title two years in a row and regardless of how this season ends, the manager wants to continue to get better.

Bukayo Saka has once again been one of Arsenal’s most important players, having made 30 Premier League appearances so far. However he looks burnt out as we approach the business end of the campaign for the second season in a row. Mikel Arteta is keen to make sure the same doesn’t happen next season with a new winger a top priority this summer.

Bukayo Saka - Arsenal

This had led to the Gunners extensively scouting Crystal Palace star, Michael Olise this season. According to the Guardian, Arsenal scouts have marked the 22-year-old as a potential transfer target ahead of the summer transfer window.

Although Michael Olise has been restricted to only 13 appearances in the league this season due to recurring hamstring injuries, he has still managed nine goal contributions. He’s now back fit and looking to end the 2023/24 campaign strongly with Crystal Palace.

The 22-year-old France U21 international will be allowed to leave Selhurst Park this summer, but only if his £65million release clause is met. It’s a big fee, but Olise is a player with huge potential who will only get better. He looks to be the perfect back-up option to Bukayo Saka so it’s no surprise Arsenal are looking at him.

Olise, who was born in London, is reportedly an Arsenal fan and has close ties with the Gunners before joining Chelsea academy in 2009.

Other players the Gunners are looking at in the wide areas is Wolves winger Pedro Neto, as well as Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville.

There’s no doubt Arsenal face a very bust summer transfer window, with the club aiming to fight for the Premier League, as well as the Champions League, again next season.

Incomings are expected, as well as many outgoings too. Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey could all leave the club ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
