Chelsea are reportedly set to go head to head with Arsenal for some of the Gunners’ targets and may even hijack a deal for a striker who is wanted by their London rivals.

The two sides are huge clubs in English football, but the current season paints a contrasting picture for the two clubs. While Chelsea are struggling with inconsistency, languishing in ninth place, the Gunners are basking at the top of the table and potential league league after two decades.

As the summer transfer window looms, both clubs are poised to flex their financial muscle in pursuit of reinforcements. Chelsea seek quality additions to revive their European aspirations, while Arsenal aim to elevate their status and clinch silverware.

Jones, speaking on Sportscasting, reveals Chelsea’s interest in Sesko and Openda, mirroring the Gunners’ pursuit of the promising talents. Arsenal, per the Evening Standard, have intensified their hunt for a striker, with Sesko emerging as a prominent target.

The 20-year-old Sesko boasts a reported €50 million release clause (£43 million), tantalising both Chelsea and Arsenal with his raw potential. Meanwhile, Openda, despite his hefty valuation of £69 million, captures Arsenal’s attention, as per Jeunes Footeux.

Sesko’s towering presence and burgeoning talent draw comparisons to Erling Haaland, a testament to his immense promise, as noted by the Bundesliga’s official website. Openda, on the other hand, earns likenesses to the illustrious Robert Lewandowski, amplifying his allure.

Should Chelsea or Arsenal secure the services of Sesko or Openda, they would significantly bolster their attacking arsenals, enhancing their competitive edge in the Premier League.

The summer transfer window promises to be a battleground for Chelsea and Arsenal, as they vie for the signatures of coveted talents. The stakes are high, and the race for supremacy in the transfer market intensifies with each passing day.
