In the last hour, news has broken out that Chelsea has stepped up their pursuit of getting a deal done for Arsenal target Mykhalo Mudryk.

In the past month, Mudryk has posted loads of signs of wanting to join Arsenal, but recent news has jeopardised this. Recently Fabrizio Romano has released some exclusive information that reads:

‘Chelsea board is now in Poland trying to reach a verbal agreement with Shakhtar for Mudryk and hijack the deal! Official bid ready close to €100m.’ ‘Arsenal has always been leading the race, in talks with Shakhtar after 3rd official bid – Mudryk position, now crucial.’

Arsenal has been put under pressure by their rival team and needs to act quickly to avoid a transfer upset. An even more worrying sign for the North London club is recent news reported by the reliable David Ornstein about a deal being done for the Ukrainian winger:

‘Chelsea has reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk for Mykhalio Mudryk. €70m plus €30 add-ons. seven-plus year contract agreed. Leaving Turkey for London to undergo medical. Not signed yet but done deal…’

At this very moment, it looks like Chelsea has got the man Arsenal thought they’d undoubtfully have, it’s now over to Arsenal to act quickly to try and better the bid Shakhtar have accepted.

Now it seems Murdyk is going to Chelsea, should we now pick up our pursuit in Leandro Trossard?
