If Ivan Toney is to leave Brentford this summer, it’s been reported they could look at an Arsenal striker as a penitential replacement ahead of next season.

Toney has scored 20 goals & recorded 4 assists in 33 appearances in the Premier League this season, so it’s really no surprise the striker is in demand ahead of the summer transfer window.

It’s recently been reported Brentford could look to Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun as they seek a replacement for the potential loss of Ivan Toney, according to reports from Sport Witness. This comes after Balogun has set alight the French top flight with Reims this season as the Arsenal loanee has netted 18 league goals thus far.

The blistering campaign has set the American born star on a pedestal where many clubs will be interested in his signature come the summer transfer window.

With Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad already employing a whole host of forwards who are capable of playing through the middle in the likes of Jesus, Nketiah, Trossard and Martinelli, Balogun’s game time will almost certainly be restricted if he is to stay in North London next season.

Update on William Saliba’s contract situation

Also with the potential loss of Ivan Toney, the striker’s position at Brentford would open up and under a team who play progressive attacking football where many chances are created, Balogun could be a great fit for a Brentford side who have a track record of producing top strikers.

Before Ivan Toney it was Ollie Watkins who was the main man at the Bees, who is now a regular started at Aston Villa and having the best scoring season of his career so far.

If the 21-year-old does end up leaving Arsenal this summer, it’s expected the Gunners will ask for somewhere around £40million after the season he’s produced in France this season. Having out scored the likes of Messi and Neymar in Ligue 1 whilst also becoming the youngest player to hit 18 goals in their debut season in France’s top flight since 1956 it’s fair to say it’s been a sensational season and one which has allowed the gunners to bargain a good fee if willing to sell.
