Arsenal have finally agreed a fee of £105million with West Ham for their club captain, Declan Rice.

Arsenal had two bids rejected for the West Ham captain until they produced a third offer of £105million in total which will see Declan Rice become the most expensive British player of all-time. West Ham and Arsenal have now come to an agreement on the fee which will see the England international move to North London ahead of next season.

David Ornstein released the exclusive last night that Arsenal and West Ham had reached a total agreement for club captain Declan Rice. The deal is worth £100million with £5million of add-ons. The 24-year-old will now undergo a medical on Friday and sign his contract ahead of his move to the Emirates Stadium.

The payment structure will see West Ham receive the £100million fixed fee in three instalments across a 24 month period with the Hammers finally accepting Arsenal’s terms last night with the long-awaited saga set to come to an end this weekend.

Mikel Arteta has been crucial in the deal to convince Declan Rice to join Arsenal over Manchester City. The Arsenal boss begun talks with the player six months ago with the 24-year-old his number one target ahead of next season. The Arsenal boss has got what he wanted, thanks to Edu, Josh Kroenke and everyone else at Arsenal who has done an incredible job to get this deal over the line.

Arsenal weren’t willing to let Granit Xhaka leave until they brought in a replacement, with their number one target being the West Ham captain. The Swiss midfielder is now on the verge of leaving the club after Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen agreed a fee of £21.5million deal for the 30-year-old.

Arsenal are also in advanced negotiations to sign Jurrien Timber from Ajax in a deal worth around £40million. A move for the Dutch international is also expected to be finalised this week with Mikel Arteta wanting both players in before the club begin their pre-season tour in mid-July.
