PSG have recently rejected the chance to sign Ansu Fati from Barcelona this summer, however the Spanish giants continue to offer the 20-year-old to clubs around Europe with Arsenal lurking, as per RMC Sport. The Gunners are in the market for one more attacker ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, however are looking to sell players first before bringing anyone else in.

Arsenal contacted the agent of Ansu Fati earlier in the window to enquire about a potential summer move for the 20-year-old and now it appears the player is being offered around by Barcelona in the hope of being sold. No clubs have yet made a firm offer for the player, however many clubs around Europe are considering one due to Barcelona’s unstable economic conditions.

Fati’s camp are reportedly leaving the door open to a summer transfer, even though it’s currently his intention to continue with Barcelona. This follows previous reports stating Arsenal are in the mic for Ansu Fati, along with Bayern Munich and other big clubs around Europe.

The player has a contract until 2027 and a transfer will only be possible if Barcelona are open to one.

Fati made 36 appearances for Barcelona in the league last season, scoring seven goals and assisting four times. But just 12 of those appearances were starts, with the winger making the lineup in La Liga less than half the time. So whilst he only missed a small number of games in all competitions last season, the Spanish international will still feel frustrated at his minutes.

The 20-year-old burst onto the scene in the 2019-20 season but endured two injury-disrupted campaigns while he was predominantly used as an impact sub by Xavi last season.

If Barcelona can’t guarantee Ansu Fati will start more games during the 2023/24 campaign then it’s likely the player will be sold with Arsenal being one club very interested in signing him ahead of this season.
