With under a week left to go of the January transfer window, Arsenal are mainly focused on outgoings before the deadline on the 1st February. Nuno Tavares, Cedric and Mohamed Elneny could all leave the Gunners over the next week, as well as some youngsters who are also attracting interest.

One of them youngsters is Charles Sagoe Jr. According to Jeorge Bird, the 19-year-old is close to securing his first loan move away from the club. The winger withdrew from the Arsenal U21s squad to face Wolves U21s last night as his loan move is now close to completion.

There have been rumours that Charles Sagoe Jr could be heading the Championship on loan, with Sunderland the club showing interest in the Arsenal youngster. However this is yet to be confirmed.

Wherever the 19-year-old ends up, it will no doubt gain him valuable experience as he gets his first taste of regular first-team football. Sagoe Jr is the only current academy player to have played for the Arsenal first-team in a competitive game this season after he made his debut against Brentford in the Carabao Cup.

More recently, the versatile winger travelled with the first-team squad to Dubai for their warm weather training camp earlier this month. Sagoe Jr, 19, has featured regularly for the Arsenal U21s this season and was also involved in the UEFA Youth League, providing three assists in one game away to PSV.
