Arsenal are tracking on Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi who is unlikely to stay at Chelsea once he returns from his loan at Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season., as per Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian.
Hudson-Odoi is currently out on loan in Germany after struggling to cement his place as a regular at Chelsea. After coming through the academy, Hudson-Odoi is yet to get a consistent run in the first team and was sent out on loan to develop and continue his progress.
With Chelsea buying player after player and especially the arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk, it’s put Hudson-Odoi right down the pecking order if he was to return to the Blues next season. AÂ permanent move could be on the cards in the near future.
Arsenal may be looking to get revenge on Chelsea who signed one of their young, talented wingers in Omari Hutchinson.
Mikel Arteta has a knack for developing young talent and has shown immense faith in some younger players since taking over as Arsenal manager, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him give Hudson-Odoi a fair chance if he was to make the short move to the Gunners.
This isn’t the first time The Gunners have been linked with the 22-year-old with the club also looking at the player at the beginning of the season. However no move ended up materialising.
It’s well known Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the player and it’s no surprise Arsenal are linked with him again, if he is to leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly one winger Arsenal are looking at bringing in during the remainder of the summer window. Mikel Arteta is a big fan.
Thoughts? Would you like to see Hudson-Odoi at Arsenal?
Personally, Hudson-Odoi under Mikel Arteta is something I’d love to see. pic.twitter.com/amIS2NC8EA
