Arsenal are gearing up for a significant overhaul at the end of the season as they aim to strengthen their squad under the guidance of Mikel Arteta.

Despite the Gunners’ emergence as contenders for the title and their successful qualification for the Champions League knockout stages, it is widely anticipated that new signings will be made in the summer, potentially affecting the playing time of certain individuals.

With numerous reports linking Arsenal to key targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window, it’s evident that bolstering the attacking lineup is a key priority for the club.

Recent rumours have linked Arsenal to players such as Victor Osimhen, Ivan Toney, and Nico Williams, indicating a concerted effort to enhance their options in the final third.

However, a new twist in Arsenal’s transfer plans could spell trouble for one of their star players, Gabriel Martinelli.

According to reports from The Mirror, Arsenal may be in the market for a striker and a winger in the summer, potentially leading to Gabriel Jesus taking up Martinelli’s position on the left wing.

“The club is eyeing a striker this summer – which could see Gabriel Jesus deployed on the left – alongside a midfielder and another winger,” the report suggests.

As Arsenal’s current first-choice left-winger, Martinelli could see his role come under threat if Jesus and another winger are brought in.

Despite Martinelli’s status ahead of other options like Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson, the arrival of additional competition could jeopardise his place in the starting lineup.

Martinelli’s exceptional speed and ability to exploit spaces make him a crucial asset for Arsenal, complementing the team’s attacking dynamics.

While Martinelli may welcome the challenge of increased competition, the potential for rotation underscores Arteta’s emphasis on squad depth and quality.

Drawing parallels to how Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola manages Phil Foden’s playing time, Arteta aims to ensure that every player is ready to contribute effectively when called upon.

    RE: Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Jesus is always injured, so Gabriel Martinelli’s position is very safe.
