After the injury to Mohammed Elneny & with no specific timeframe on his return, Arsenal look to get the Moises Caicedo deal over the line – but it’ll take a convincing offer for Brighton to allow the tough tackler to leave in January.

After Caicedo practically handed in a transfer request via social media a lot has been said by the club and Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian manager said to beIN sport: ‘I don’t expect anything, Tony Bloom knows my opinion. In terms of the transfer market, I told him we need some players in some positions.’

If Arsenal was to snatch up the Ecuadorian midfielder, Brighton is said to replace him with Leipzigs Amdaou Haidara, who is a very sought-after midfielder from Mali.

Fabrizio Romano recently tweeted:

“Arsenal are discussing internally a new proposal worth £70m (add-ons included) for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.”

The transfer saga continues with De Zerbi also stating in a post-match interview that: ‘I would like him to finish the season with us, but we are ready to go forward without him.’

The latest from Sami Mokbel, as per the below tweet, is also that Arsenal are set to improve their offer to £70m, plus add-ons in order to convince them to let go of the Ecuadorian midfielder.

Moises Caicedo was snatched up from Ind. Del Valle for only £4m, and Brighton look to get a big profit on the Ecuadorian to continue their scouting expertise. So Arsenal fans, do you think Moises Caicedo is the correct man for the midfield?
