Arsenal have agreed a fee of around £15m with Real Valladolid for La Liga right back Ivan Fresneda. As per The Athletic, Borussia Dortmund have also agreed a fee for the player. The deal includes the player being loaned back to Spain for the remainder of the season.
The player will now decide where he wants to play next season. We await his decision.
In the past, the 18-year-old defender had links from Real Madrid, but in recent days the Spanish giants have placed doubts over the possible signing, allowing Arsenal to take control of the situation. Newcastle United is another team interested in the full-back but have also failed to get a deal over the line.
The news of Arsenal making this signing means Fulham signing Cedric Soares seems to be materialising, allowing space for Fresneda in the team.
