With Champions League football now confirmed to be back at the Emirates Stadium next season Edu is getting prepared for the summer transfer window with one man from La Liga on his shopping list.
Robin Le Normand is said to be on Arsenal’s transfer shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window, according to MatteMoretto.
Arsenal had previously enquired about the player in January, but Real Sociedad didn’t want to let the player leave during the middle of the season, however the centre-back’s situation is expected to be different come the end of the season.
The 26-year old centre-back has impressed Mikel Arteta with his performances this season and the Gunners are predicted to make a move for the player very soon.
Real Sociedad’s fantastic season hasn’t gone unnoticed as they currently sit fourth in the La Liga table. One of the most important and key performers for their side this season is 26-year-old Frenchman, Robin Le Normand.
With his release clause set at €50m, he has become a summer target to many Premier League teams recently with Arsenal being one of them. Le Normand is expected to leave Real Sociedad at the end of the season.
He’s a defender who can play either left centre-back or right centre-back and that looks to be the key reason why Mikel Arteta is interested in the player this summer – his versatility.
So far this season, Le Normand has played 26 times for the Spanish side and is a big reason why they currently find themselves battling it out for a Champions League spot. He is the second Sociedad player on Arsenal’s shortlist, as the Gunners have already enquired about their midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
There is no doubt that he will be a quality signing for Arsenal, but if the Gunners really want him they will have to act quickly and try to make an agreement with the Spanish club.
