Arsenal, along with Premier League sides Manchester United and Newcastle, are among the teams that are closely following Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga.
The 20-year old Celta Vigo midfielder has caught the eye of many teams this season. He has surprisingly become a very important member of the Spanish sides’ starting eleven, which very few expected at the beginning of the season.
Arsenal have been monitoring Veiga for quite some time now, identifying him as a potential long term Xhaka/Partey replacement. However, Arsenal are not the only team from the Premier League to be interested in the Spaniard, with Newcastle United and Manchester United also involved.
According to Matteo Moretto, The three Premier League clubs have come to see him in various games this season, with the player’s release clause set at €40m.

The competition for Veiga is increasing on a daily basis with teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid & Juventus also interested in signing him in the summer.
Gabri Veiga has made 22 appearances this season, scoring eight and assisting three times from a central midfielder/attacking midfielder spot, which is a fantastic return.
If Arteta and Arsenal are keen on signing him, they must act quickly. There is no doubt that he will be a fantastic signing for the Gunners but also a tricky one since Arsenal will have to compete with many European giants for his signature.
It’s definitely one to watch very closely come the summer transfer window.
