
Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga would prefer to join Arsenal and work under manager Mikel Arteta next season, according to AS’ Manu Sainz.
The Spanish journalist has said that Arsenal are the club Veiga likes the most in England, due to Mikel Arteta and his Spanish roots. He added the Gunners will most likely get the player if they enter the race for him this summer.
He said:
“The club in England he likes the most, which we published a while back, is Arsenal. Arsenal is the club.
If Arsenal gets into the bidding for Veiga, then they will most likely get him, because he enjoys the football Arsenal play and he would like to work with Arteta. It’s football, and he would have an advantage there.”
Arsenal, along with Premier League sides Manchester United and Newcastle, are among the teams that are closely following Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga.

The 20-year old Celta Vigo midfielder has caught the eye of many teams this season. He has surprisingly become a very important member of the Spanish sides’ starting eleven, which very few expected at the beginning of the season.
Arsenal have been monitoring Veiga for quite some time now, identifying him as a potential long term Xhaka replacement.
According to Matteo Moretto, The three Premier League clubs have come to see him in various games this season, with the player’s release clause set at €40m.
The competition for Veiga is increasing on a daily basis with teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid & Juventus also interested in signing him in the summer. However the Premier League is a big attraction for the 20-year-old and the player won’t need convincing to move to North London if Arsenal up their interest over the next month.
Gabri Veiga has made 31 league appearances this season, scoring nine goals and assisting four times from a central midfielder/attacking midfielder spot, which is a fantastic return.
It’s definitely one to watch very closely come the summer transfer window.
