Arsenal have expressed interest in signing 22-year-old La Liga winger who will provide competition and cover for Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. Ander Barrenetxea’s stellar performances in La Liga for Real Sociedad have caught the attention of north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham and reports from The Sun suggest that the two Premier League teams are closely monitoring his progress.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou see Barrenetxea as a valuable addition to their squads and have been impressed by the Spanish under-21 international’s consistent form throughout the season. The winger’s ability to operate on both flanks adds versatility to his skill set, making him an enticing prospect for the Premier League outfits.

With 150 appearances for Real Sociedad under his belt since his debut at the age of 16 in December 2018, Barrenetxea has evolved into a key player for the La Liga club. Despite a modest goal and assist tally, the young talent is highly regarded in European football circles, with a promising future ahead.
