According to multiple reports, Arsenal are preparing to submit a summer bid for Crystal Palace wonderkid, Michael Olise ahead of next season.
The 21-year-old has been a regular starter for Crystal Palace this season, making 30 appearances in the Premier League. He’s scored two goals, recorded eight assists and has impressed everyone with his performances.
He operates mainly as a winger off the right hand side, where Bukayo Saka plays for Arsenal, however he can do a job in the attacking midfield area as well.
It seems like Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Olise as he ticks all of his boxes for a Bukayo Saka back-up which Arsenal are looking to bring in ahead of next season. The young Frenchman fits the age, price and versatility the Arsenal boss is looking for.
With Champions League football all but secured ahead of next season Mikel Arteta wants more quality in depth in order to compete for all the biggest trophies, and Michael Olise is one playing the club are looking at bringing in to fit that bill.
Olise joined Crystal Palace in 2021, after they activated his £8million release clause from Reading. He also represents France U21s, and is knocking on the door for a first international call-up.
Despite Arsenal being interested, they’re not alone in the race with other Premier League clubs also keeping a close eye on the youngster, including Newcastle United.
Arsenal have a got a list of wingers they’re looking at to provide depth for Bukayo Saka next season, with other options being AC Milan star Brahim Diaz & French winger, Moussa Diaby.
