In a bid to address their left-back injury crisis, Arsenal officials are reportedly scheduled to travel to Turkey next week to negotiate the potential signing of Fenerbahce fullback Ferdi Kadioglu. The 24-year-old Turkish international has been turning heads with impressive performances for both club and country this season, catching the attention of Mikel Arteta’s side.

Amidst their current left-back shortage, Arsenal are keen on securing a new signing, and Kadioglu seems to be on their radar. Turkish outlet, Sabah reports that representatives from the Gunners will head to Istanbul to discuss a potential transfer for Kadioglu, with Fenerbahce allegedly setting a valuation of €30 million (£25 million) for the defender.

Although Fenerbahce are reportedly eager to retain Kadioglu this month, the allure of Arsenal’s interest and financial resources might prove too compelling to resist. The north London side are in dire need of a left-back to revive their Premier League title aspirations, and Kadioglu could be a valuable addition if both clubs can reach a satisfactory agreement.

The decision to dispatch officials to Istanbul underscores Arsenal’s high regard for Kadioglu as a player. However, it’s worth noting that the left-back position could soon have multiple options for the Gunners, with the imminent returns of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Jurrien Timber in the coming months.

In addition to the potential acquisition of Ferdi Kadioglu, there are swirling reports suggesting that Arsenal might recall Kieran Tierney from his loan spell at Real Sociedad. The Scottish international, who lost his starting position to Zinchenko last season and faced further competition from Tomiyasu, could offer valuable depth in the left-back position.

While Arsenal have experimented with Polish center-back Jakub Kiwior in the left-back role, criticisms have emerged, particularly after his halftime withdrawal in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat against Fulham.
