Arsenal are gearing up for a transformative summer as Mikel Arteta sets his sights on fortifying the squad for a sustained title challenge alongside Manchester City in the upcoming season.

With more than five players expected to depart in search of regular first-team opportunities, the club is poised to welcome fresh faces to bolster its ranks.

Among the positions earmarked for reinforcement is the goalkeeping department, where Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya currently vie for the starting spot. Ramsdale, signed two years ago to succeed Bernd Leno, finds himself in a situation akin to his predecessor’s, with playing time becoming scarce. Consequently, the England international is anticipated to seek greener pastures this summer, with Raya assuming the mantle between the sticks.

While Ramsdale’s departure looms, Arsenal are primed to secure a respectable fee for the talented shot-stopper. Meanwhile, the club is proactively planning for the future, scouting extensively to identify a suitable candidate to deputise for Raya in the seasons ahead.

Amidst their quest for goalkeeping talent, Arsenal have turned their attention to Major League Soccer, with reports suggesting the imminent arrival of Colorado Rapids’ prodigious 17-year-old goalkeeper, Adam Beaudry, for a trial in London.

Beaudry, who made his professional debut with Rapids 2 in 2023, has quickly emerged as one of MLS’s brightest prospects. His standout performances, including earning the MLS NEXT Pro Goalkeeper of the Month accolade on multiple occasions, have garnered attention on both sides of the Atlantic.

Prior to his ascent in professional football, Beaudry honed his skills with Real Colorado and spent time with the Rapids Academy’s U-17 team, where he was named the club’s Academy Player of the Year in 2023. Additionally, he has represented the United States at the U-17 level, showcasing his talent on the international stage.

Beaudry is an investment into the future and at just 17, the goalkeeper is not expected to make the step up the ranks to the first team if Arsenal eventually signs him, but he is a talent for the future and if a deal is struck, could be a long term heir to Raya.
