Arsenal have recently made an approach to Athletico Paranaense for 17-year old striker, Vitor Roque. Edu Gaspar has been in touch with the player’s entourage about a possible move come the end of the season. Reports, Goal Brazil.
Vitor Roque is a player with bags of potential. At just 17-years-old he scored the winning goal to take his side to the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores.
He’s already played for the Brazil U20’s side and is a player performing way beyond his years.
The striker wears the number 39 shirt at Athletico Paranaense as a tribute to Bruno Guimarães who starred for the club a few years ago.
The Brazilian side will most likely want a fee of around €35m-€40m for him.
If Arsenal are serious about him then it puts some doubt into Folarin Balogun’s future at the club, however these are only rumours at the moment.
Vitor Roque is an unbelievable talent. At just 17 he scored the winning goal to take Athletico PR to the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores (where they ended up losing the final to Flamengo) — he’s as good as Endrick probably. Barcelona have also asked about him recently
