Rasmus Hojlund is a 20-year-old striker currently playing his football in the Serie A for Atalanta. He signed with the Italian club from Strum Graz in a deal worth £15m in 2022 and is already gaining interest from clubs all around Europe after impressing at the start of this season.
The natural born finisher has already claimed seven goals to his name in the current Serie A season and there isn’t any sign of him slowing down. Duvan Zapata isn’t getting any younger and Atalanta want to hold onto their man as long as possible hence the huge sum paid to gain the Danes’ signature.
The links to Arsenal have come from reports in Italy, with La Repubblica reporting:
“Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the striker’s performances in Serie A this season and are now considering a move for the Denmark international this summer.”
Despite the reported links from the Gunners, another huge team is interested in the goal-scoring Danish striker. Florentino Perez of Real Madrid has also been noted as someone who is a long-running admirer of the clinical finisher and is seen as a “successor for Karim Benzema.”
That’s how highly this kid is rated.

Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini also has had good words to say about the Danish striker this season, comparing him to Manchester City’s Erling Halaand:
“Hojlund has this spirit, energy, intensity, but also technical quality that is just remarkable. He still has so much margin for improvement too. He has very similar characteristics to Haaland, not just his face.
He is so quick, he’s under 11 seconds over 100 metres and that’s not even trying very hard. Considering his height, he has a low centre of gravity and can move his legs very fast. I am convinced he’ll have a great career, he just gets stronger every day.”

Despite only having a transfer value of €15m currently according to TransferMarkt, the Danish striker will surely go up in price come the summer and be nearer to a €50m player. He’s a rare player who’s tall, quick, mobile and clinical so there’s no surprise he’s caught the eye of Arsenal’s recruitment team.
So Arsenal fans, despite having Eddie Nketiah & Gabriel Jesus leading the lines already, do you think it’ll be intelligent to splash the cash for Rasmus Hojlund come the summer transfer window?
