According to Giova Albanese (of La Gazetta Dello Sport) Arsenal are interested in Juventus midfielder Weston Mckennie. Juventus have recently been deducted 15 points due to alleged financial irregularities and false accounting.
Due to the 15 points deduction that the Serie A team has faced, the Old Lady could miss out on European football next season, meaning the stars of their team may be looking elsewhere. Givoa Albanese stated:
“Arsenal have made contact with Juventus midfielder, Weston Mckennie, Juventus want around €20-25m (£17-22m) plus bonuses.”
GIFN also reported that ‘The Bianconeri could be willing to negotiate the American’s price.
So far this season Weston Mckennie has played 15 games (ironic) for the Old Lady, scoring and assisting one goal for the currently troubled Italian team who most recently drew 3-3 against Atalanta. A game where Weston McKennie played at right mid.
A strong point of the powerhouse midfielder is his ability to play in multiple positions over the pitch. Versatility is needed in this current Arsenal squad, making McKennie a good option for the Gunners.
Arsenal has been linked to an array of midfield talent, including Declan Rice, Camavinga and Weston McKennie. After the signing of Trossard and Kiwoir being close to the signature, will McKennie be our third signing?
