Speculation is rife that Mikel Arteta might replicate his successful transfer strategy, which saw Jorginho and Kai Havertz join Arsenal, by pursuing Manchester United’s loaned winger, Jadon Sancho.

Currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a fallout with Manchester United manager Eric ten Hag, Jadon Sancho has been the talk of the town following his stellar performance in the Champions League semi-final against PSG.

The 24-year-old English international showcased his worth, outshining even Kylian Mbappe on the grandest stage, sparking discussions about a potential late inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros.

However, Sancho remains tight-lipped about his future plans. When questioned by CBS Sports, he admitted uncertainty, stating, “I’m focused on the present right now.” With his loan spell nearing its end, Sancho’s return to Manchester United seems likely. Yet, doubts persist about his future at the club, especially considering United’s need to comply with Profit and Sustainability rules.

Sancho’s impressive performances in Germany have garnered interest from multiple clubs, with Dortmund expected to lead the race for his signature. However, With Arteta’s track record of nurturing talent, Sancho could find a conducive environment at Arsenal to revive his career.

His versatility could address Arsenal’s need for quality competition for Bukayo Saka, while offering options on the left flank. Despite past disciplinary concerns, Sancho’s reported maturity and improved punctuality could align well with Arteta’s expectations.

The presence of childhood friend Reiss Nelson at Arsenal, along with the family-like atmosphere cultivated by Arteta, could further facilitate Sancho’s integration into the squad. Reports suggest that Sancho could be available for as little as £30 million, making him an enticing prospect for the Gunners. Moreover, shared representation with Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah could streamline negotiations.

While pursuing Sancho entails risks, Arsenal’s stable environment under Arteta could provide the platform for his resurgence.
