According to Marc Behrenbeck (Sky Germany), Moussa Diaby is being discussed at Arsenal as a potential attacking target this January, after the Gunners missed out on signing Mykhailo Mudryk.

It’s well known Arsenal are after a winger in the last two weeks of the window, with the club recently being offered Leandro Trossard who is set to leave Brighton this month. More on that here.

As well as Trossard, Moussa Diaby is also a player Arsenal are reportedly looking at. The 23-year-old has phenomenal pace while also possessing a great technical ability.

The Frenchman is equally good on either flank with strong direct returns in both roles for Bayern Leverkusen since he joined the club in 2019.

Moussa Diaby has 43 goals & 41 assists across 146 appearances in all competitions for the German club which is one of the best returns you will from a winger in Europe’s top five leagues.

Players with that record don’t come cheap & Arsenal will have to generate somewhere around £80m to stand a chance of signing the Frenchman this January, if they do go ahead and bid for him.

Bayern Leverkusen rejected a £70m offer for the player last summer & with his contract not up until 2025, it’s thought they wouldn’t sell him for any less than that six months later, especially considering how much Mudryk has just moved to Chelsea for.

Taking into account the price tag, would you like to see Moussa Diaby at Arsenal in the near future?
