Mikel Arteta has been a man on a mission ever since he joined Arsenal. Under him, Arsenal have had a lot of incomings and outgoings. He has quite literally hit the refresh button on the Arsenal squad. This season with Arsenal looking to seal at least a Champions League spot, if not more, Mikel Arteta will be hoping to add quality depth to his Arsenal squad.

Evan N’Dicka will officially be out of contract at the end of this season and Arsenal are poised to be among the five or six clubs who are said to be interested in the Frenchman. Arsenal were interested in the player in the January transfer window and are reported to be evaluating the player’s situation with his current club, Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, according to Sport1, Barcelona have an agreement with N’Dicka for the summer, but they haven’t made an official move yet, it is now reported that Barcelona have one month to do so before the player begins looking for other options. However Fabrizio Romano said on the Caught Offside podcast…

“I’m told nothing has been decided yet for N’dicka. Barcelona are among 5/6 clubs who are informed on his situation but I’ve [got] nothing confirmed on an agreement at this stage.”

However, Arsenal are facing competition, N’Dicka has attracted interest from a lot of clubs, he has been great for Frankfurt and has started every game last season and also currently has featured as a starter in each game this season as well.

If N’dicka joins Arsenal, it could mean that Rob Holding could no longer be in Mikel Arteta’s plans. N’dicka will be an exciting signing who will offer depth for the centre back role and will compete for it going up against Gabriel Magalhaes. The French player has made a total of 168 appearances for Frankfurt, but now following the end of his term with them he will surely be looking out for teams higher up in their respective leagues.

Arsenal could attract the player especially if they qualify for Champions League next season but they face heavy competition from Barcelona and have to decide whether they want the player or not within one month before Barcelona make any move for N’Dicka.
