Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer move for a £69 million-rated striker who has scored 26 goals for his club this season.

As the summer transfer window approaches, numerous options are expected to undergo evaluation by Edu and the Arsenal scouts, with a fresh name emerging in discussions – Leipzig’s Belgian sensation, Lois Openda.

Lois Openda made the switch to German Bundesliga side Leipzig last summer from French club RC Lens. A report from Jeunes Footeux now claims the 24-year-old Openda is on the list – despite being valued at a huge £69 million.

The Belgian forward has been in scintillating form for RB Leipzig this season, scoring 26 goals and providing six assists in 40 appearances.

The Gunners are on the lookout for a new center-forward, with Gabriel Jesus struggling to find the back of the net consistently due to injuries. Openda’s impressive performances have caught the attention of Arsenal, who see him as a potential solution to their attacking woes.

Despite only joining Leipzig last summer from RC Lens, Openda has quickly established himself as a key player for the German club. His blistering pace and clinical finishing make him an attractive prospect for Arsenal, who are willing to pay a hefty fee of £69 million to secure his services.

While Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest in Openda, Arsenal’s financial muscle gives them an edge in the race for his signature. Although Openda is not considered a top priority for Arsenal, they are still monitoring his situation closely and could make a move for the talented forward in the summer transfer window.

Furthermore, Arsenal’s links with Albert Sambi Lokonga, who is represented by the same agency as Openda, could potentially facilitate negotiations for the striker. However, it remains to be seen whether Leipzig will entertain offers for Openda, who is contracted to the club until 2028.

Overall, Openda’s addition would bolster Arsenal’s attacking options and provide them with a dynamic and prolific goalscorer to lead their frontline.
