Arsenal have been locked in negotiations with West Ham over the transfer of Declan Rice for over two weeks now with a deal set to be completed imminently.
Arsenal had two bids rejected for the West Ham captain until they produced a third offer of £105million in total which will see Declan Rice become the most expensive British player of all-time. West Ham have accepted the overall fee, however discussions are still ongoing regarding the payment structure of the deal.
Arsenal have offered the £100million to be paid in four instalments across a two-year period, however West Ham want it paid in three instalments across a 18 month period. The two clubs are on the same page and want to make the deal happen, so the small details are expected to be ironed out early this week.
It’s been reported Arsenal have Declan Rice’s medical booked in for later this week after the player returned from his holiday in Dubai on Saturday.
It also appears the Gunners have dropped a little hint showing that the Declan Rice announcement could be imminent.

Arsenal weren’t willing to let Granit Xhaka leave until they brought in a replacement, with their number one target being the West Ham captain. Well reports have suggested today that the Swiss midfielder is on the verge of leaving the club after Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen agreed a fee of £21.5million deal for the 30-year-old.
With Arsenal now willing to let Granit Xhaka leave, it suggests a deal for Declan Rice is done with the 24-year-old set to become Arsenal’s second signing of the summer after Kai Havertz arrived from Chelsea last week.
Arsenal are also in advanced negotiations to sign Jurrien Timber from Ajax in a deal worth around £40million. A move for the Dutch international is also expected to be finalised this week with Mikel Arteta wanting both players in before the club begin their pre-season tour in mid-July.
With a medical booked in and Granit Xhaka on the verge of leaving the club, all signs point to a deal for Declan Rice being completed very very soon. I know it’s been a long wait but deals this size take time and the signing of Declan Rice will definitely be worth it.
