Arsenal are on the verge of securing the signature of Chelsea star Kai Havertz for a fee of £65million.

According to David Ornstein, Arsenal Football Club is on the verge of securing the signature of Chelsea star Kai Havertz for a reported fee of £65 million. The Gunners, after having an initial offer rejected, have come back with an improved bid, bringing them closer to Chelsea’s asking price.

The fee for Kai Havertz will be £50m paid over a three year period, then £15m worth of add-ons. Mikel Arteta was desperate for Arsenal to sign the German international this summer and it looks like he’s got his wish with Havertz set to be the Gunners’ first signing this summer.

Personal terms between Havertz and Arsenal have already been agreed upon, and the German international is expected to undergo a medical examination imminently, paving the way for his highly anticipated move. Talks with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta have evidently convinced Havertz, who is keen to explore his potential in a new role under the Spanish tactician.

Havertz, who joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen three years ago, showcased his versatility by making 47 appearances last season, primarily as a centre-forward, and scoring nine goals, despite Chelsea’s poor season in the Premier League.

As Arsenal prepares to welcome Havertz, fans eagerly await the confirmation of this significant addition to their attacking options.

The potential acquisition of Kai Havertz showcases Arsenal’s ambition to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level. With personal terms agreed and the medical process underway, it won’t be long before the Gunners officially announce the completion of this highly anticipated transfer.

With Havertz transfer nearing completion, Arsenal are also preparing to submit a third bid for West Ham’s skipper, Declan Rice.
