According to French publication Jeunes Footeux, Arsenal Football Club are competing with Premier League rivals Manchester United to sign up the “next Erling Haaland”.

20-year-old Molde and Norwegian midfielder Sivert Mannsverk is reportedly being tracked by the Premier League giants after impressing while playing for his current club. It is thought that Molde will demand a Norwegian-record sale worth €10million (£8.8million) to part ways with the young midfield sensation.

Molde have recently announced David Datro Fofana will be transferred to Chelsea and it seems that they could now be set to lose another talented youngster should the Gunners pull off a deal to sign Mannsverk in January.

Mannsverk is seen as the next big thing in Norwegian football. His fellow countryman Erling Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm, scoring 21 goals in only 15 appearances, and many believe Mannsverk can have a similarly transformative effect on his new team albeit in a more creative role.

If Mannsverk does move to the Premier League, it’s likely he’ll break the record sale for Molde, which stands at €8million when they sold Haaland to RB Salzburg in January 2019.
