Arsenal young centre-back, Omar Rekik has liked a story on his potential loan to Turkish side, Fenerbahce this summer.
The 21-year-old Tunisian joined Arsenal’s academy in 2021 from Hertha Berlin, after spending the rest of his youth career at Manchester City, PSV and Marseille.
The centre-back spent last season on loan at Championship side Wigan Athletic where he made eleven appearances in the league, however he wasn’t able to save the club from relegation as they finished bottom of the league with only 39 points from 46 games.
Rekik is currently at London Colney with the Arsenal U21 side preparing for the upcoming season, but the 21-year-old is expected to leave the club on loan again this summer with Fenerbahce currently in pole position for his signature.
The player dropped a hint that the Turkish side are after him this summer after liking a story posted by a Fenerbahce fan where he says Rekik should join the club ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Fenerbahce are aiming to win the Turkish league title next season after completing the signings of Edin Dzeko and Ryan Kent and they’re not done in the transfer market yet with Rekik a key target to add to their defensive options.
It would be valuable experience for Omar Rekik to fight for a league title at just 21-years-old, so there’s no doubt Arsenal will be happy to let the player leave, if personal terms can be agreed.
Omar Rekik’s current contract at Arsenal lasts until 2025 and the club will have to make a decision on his long-term future soon.
