According to Thiago Fernandes at Goal Brazil, Arsenal are back in for Palmeiras midfielder, Danilo once again after their £20m bid for the player was rejected in the summer.
Arsenal aren’t alone in the race with Atletico Madrid & Monaco also interested in the 21-year-old.
The Brazilian club have already received a proposal for the defensive midfielder this month however the named club is currently unknown.
Palmeiras are aware of the interest from European clubs and are preparing for Danilo’s exit, however he will only be sold if his valuation is met.
As stated earlier, Palmeiras rejected a £20m bid from Arsenal in the last transfer window. AC Milan also consulted the player at the time, but did not formalise an offer. At the time, President Leila Pereira warned that the Brazilian would not be sold at any cost, reason why Arsenal pulled out of negotiations. However in the current transfer window, the situation is different.

The player has stood out over the last few seasons, playing 74 games in the Brazilian top divison and has also recently received a call-up for the Brazilian national team. In 2022, he played 56 matches for Palmeiras, totaling 4,498 minutes, scoring seven goals and getting three assists.
At just 21-years-old he’s a player with a big career in front of him and a move to Europe looks to be on the cards. The question is, where in Europe?
Mikel Arteta will be hoping Arsenal can make the photo below a reality…

Could we potentially see Danilo in an Arsenal shirt come the end of January?
