Three Arsenal players have made their way to the top 10 for the best chance conversion rate in the Premier League so far this season, according to WhoScored.com.

Gabriel Martinelli, Leonardo Trossard and Bukayo Saka are all having their best seasons in front of goal and the statistics are now here to back that up, with the chance conversation rate stat the most impressive of the lot.

A clear-cut chance is referred to as a situation where a player should reasonably be expected to score usually in a one-on-one scenario or from very close range.

Gabriel Martinelli is placed third, joint with Arsenal’s new January signing Leandro Trossard. They both share a 70% clear cut conversation rate which puts them very high on the list of overall Premier League players. Although Trossard only joined the Gunners a couple of months ago, this data includes his time at Brighton from the start of the season, so clearly the Belgian has been clinical in front of goal, no matter who he’s playing for this season.

On the other hand, Martinelli is converting 2.1 out of 3 clear-cut chances that he gets, already scoring 12 goals this campaign, which is a massive improvement in comparison to last season where he only had six goals in the whole of last season. Only four players have scored more Premier League goals than the 21-year-old Brazilian this season.

However, the number one spot on the list is reserved for Arsenal’s main man this season Bukayo Saka, who has a conversion rate of an incredible 75%.

This puts Arsenal’s starboy in front of big players like Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and Danny Ings, with him converting 2.25 out of 3 clear-cut chances. So far in the Premier League this season, Saka has scored 10 goals as well as providing 9 assists and is making a case for winning Premier League Young Player of The Year and maybe even Player of The Year come May.

Arsenal players are having the season of their lives and the statistics is even bigger indicator showing how much improvement the Arsenal squad has made compared to last season.

Mikel Arteta had a brilliant track record of getting the best out of wingers at Manchester City, with the likes of Raheem Sterling & Leory Sane giving the Spaniard huge praise for making them better players while at the club. It looks like the Arsenal boss has carried on with the same work at Arsenal, with the likes of Bukayo Saka & Gabriel Martinelli flourishing under his management in North London.
