Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has conveyed his eagerness to carve out a successful future at the Emirates Stadium. The 24-year-old, currently on loan at Luton Town, confessed his commitment to Arsenal and expressed optimism about his prospects with the club.

Despite facing challenges during his time with the Gunners, Lokonga remains steadfast in his belief that he can make a lasting impact at the club. The Belgian international, who joined Arsenal in June 2021 from Anderlecht for a reported fee of £17 million, was regarded as one of the top players in the Belgian top flight. He even captained Anderlecht at the age of 21.

However, Lokonga’s tenure at the Emirates has not unfolded as expected, and he has not featured competitively for Arsenal since January 2023. The midfielder spent the latter part of the previous season on loan at Crystal Palace and has continued his loan spell with Luton Town this season.

In a recent interview with Belgian outlet DH, Sambi addressed questions about his future at Arsenal, saying, “I think it’s too early to say. I haven’t had any contact with Mikel Arteta yet. I’m concentrating on Luton. We’ll talk to Arsenal at the end of the season. But everything will happen gradually.”

Despite the challenges, Lokonga affirmed his commitment to the club, noting the appreciation he receives from the fans and staff. He expressed confidence in his ability to contribute to the team’s success, emphasising that his future at the club depends on his performances during his loan spell.

“I’ve always said that as long as I have a contract with the Gunners, I’d like to make my mark there,” Lokonga asserted.

When asked about his decision to join the club , Lokonga conveyed his appreciation for the club, stating, “I’d sign for Arsenal. I learned a lot there. Maybe I could have gone out on loan at the end of my first year because I wasn’t playing much, but I’ll never regret my move to Arsenal. It’s a club that’s close to my heart. I hope Arsenal are champions this season. For my friends and the staff.”
