Arsenal currently lead Manchester City by a single point in the Premier League standings, although the defending champions have a game in hand. Jorginho highlighted the hard work and dedication that has propelled them to this position, urging his teammates to cherish every moment and continue pushing for success.

“I’d say that we are enjoying it (this season) because it’s a beautiful journey. It’s a special moment, a special thing we’ve been doing, and I think we need to push and enjoy the moment, every single day. To be where we are, we worked hard. So much! We did so much and we need to be proud of what we’ve been doing. We need to trust what we’re doing and believe it.”

Reflecting on his role within the team, the Brazilian-born midfielder emphasised his commitment to supporting his fellow players both on and off the field, whether through encouragement, guidance, or leading by example.

Manager Mikel Arteta echoed Jorginho’s sentiments, praising his leadership qualities and unique playing style that elevates the performance of those around him.

“We’re delighted that Jorgi has signed a new contract with us. Jorgi is such an important part of our team, a role model with great leadership skills and a unique playing style ability which makes everybody better around him on the pitch. We’re very pleased that Jorgi and his family have committed with us and we’re all excited to continue this journey together.”
