Arsenal defender, Oleksandr Zinchenko didn’t feature for the Gunners in their draw at the London Stadium against West Ham last time out due to a groin injury.
His exclusion was deemed as precautionary as Mikel Arteta didn’t want to risk further damage given how important he is to the way Arsenal play and in order to be available for the last seven games of the season.
Arsenal fans are desperate to hear an update on the Ukrainian’s fitness so here we are with some good news…
According to The Telegraph, Oleksandr Zinchenko will be fit and ready to play against Southampton on Friday, before the big title clash against Manchester City the week after.
The Southampton game is a chance for Arsenal to get back to winning ways after two consecutive draws in the Premier League and also provides the Gunners with an opportunity to go seven points clear of Manchester City ahead of the clash at the Etihad the following Friday.
It’s great news for Arsenal, as there is no doubt that Zinchenko offers something that Tierney doesn’t and we can expect him to be a part of starting eleven on Friday evening.

Why are Arsenal fans so obsessed with Zinchenko. Yes I appreciate he offers a bit more of a threat going ing forward than Tierney but defence wise definitely not. Arsenal have enough talent up front to do the business and with only seven games to go not conceding is key to winning the title and bollocks to the inverted full bach shite, whatever that is.
