Fabio Vieira and Ben White were both absent from Arsenal’s recent training session on Monday as the Gunners gear up for the match against RC Lens in the UEFA Champions League.

With speculation about injuries, which could leave them unavailable for the upcoming clash against Lens, their absence would add to the growing list of key players including Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey, and Emile Smith Rowe.

The Gunners are aiming to secure qualification for the Champions League round of 16 and secure the top spot in Group B, making Vieira’s potential absence a concern for Mikel Arteta.

This season has seen Vieira struggle to secure a consistent spot within the Arsenal line-up, facing challenges in form and fitness reducing his chances of breaking into the starting eleven.

His struggle to establish himself within the squad adds to the frustration he might be experiencing at Arsenal this season contributing two assists and a goal so far.

The absence of Vieira from training adds to the uncertainty surrounding his slow start to the Premier League.

Vieira has been recently linked with a loan move and his potential exclusion from the match-day squad might add more reasons for Mikel Arteta to make a decision on the midfielder in January.

With Fabio Vieira’s struggle to secure a more consistent role in the team, missing out on game-time and key matches could heighten his frustration and limit his chances of proving his quality at Arsenal.

Ben White, on the other hand, has been an important asset in Arsenal’s defence this season. With Ben White missing training, Mikel Arteta will have to utilize Takehiro Tomiyasu at right back with the Japanese showcasing his diversity in positions.

Arteta will be hoping for a quick recovery for the two Arsenal players with the busy festive season just around the corner, before the club try and strengthen their squad depth in the January transfer window.
