Thomas Partey called up by Ghana for the upcoming internationals

Arsenal have four more games before the international break at the end of this month. Mikel Arteta’s side will face Sporting twice in the Europa League, home & away, with Fulham at Craven Cottage in between and a game against Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace to finish off the month.

As previously reported, none of Arsenal’s Brazilians have been called up to the upcoming internationals, which I think most Arsenal fans would say is good news considering the amount of games coming up before the end of the season. However that isn’t the case for all players…

Thomas Partey has been called up by Ghana for the upcoming international break.

Ghana will face Angola in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and there’s no doubt Partey will be one of the first names on the team sheet for the Black Stars later this month.

All Arsenal fans will be praying he comes back safe & sound as on his return, the Gunners are looking to win their first league title since 2003/04 & there’s no doubt Thomas Partey is one of the most important players in the squad right now.

Arsenal are yet to lose a game in which Thomas Partey has started this season. Bringing in Jorginho as cover has definitely helped with the Italian proven he can do a decent job, such as in recent games against Aston Villa & Leicester City.

However, although Jorginho is good, he isn’t Thomas Partey and Mikel Arteta will be hoping his number five can go the rest of the season without any injury problems, starting at the upcoming international break.

If Thomas Partey can stay injury free then that will only improve the chances of Arsenal winning their first league title in 19 years.
