Roy Keane has made his Premier League title prediction, with eight games to go, as Arsenal and Manchester City look to battle it out until May…

The former Manchester United has stated the little faith he has in Premier League leaders Arsenal to remain there come the end of the season.

Roy Keane, known for some fiery takes and strong stances, has chosen Arsenal to “choke” the Premier League title. The pundit insists Manchester City will finish as title winners this season.

Although Arsenal currently hold a six point lead at the top, the Gunners have played one more match than their title rivals. Roy Keane disregards the lead Arsenal currently have and he favours City heavily to be champions.

Speaking on Gary Neville’s The Overlap Show, Roy Keane claimed Arsenal will lose the lead to Manchester City because he is doubtful about Arsenal’s character to handle the pressure.

Roy Keane on Arsenal winning the Premier League:

“I just think City are that brilliant. The games Arsenal have to go and win, these are obviously pressure games and they’ve not dealt with that over the last few years. Even last year with top four they came up short, that’s the question mark that’s just hanging over them.”

Although Arsenal have the lead at the moment, they still have tricky matches to come with the likes of Newcastle and Manchester City still to play away from home this season. These are the games that will define the season for Arsenal, as they found out last season when they lost at St James’ Park which ultimately cost them a place in the Champions League.

Arsenal also only have the Premier League to focus on for the remainder of the season, while City are still fighting for the FA Cup and Champions League as well as the Premier League, which could benefit the Gunners over the next month or so.

After drawing at Anfield last time out, Arsenal take on West Ham next as Mikel Arteta’s side look to get back to winning ways.
